Waterfall - Lamentin

This lovely waterfall approximately ten meters high offers a pool for swimming and an opportunity to picnic in a forest surrounding. The hike to the falls begins near Ravine Chaude hot springs (after the bridge). The walk to the falls on the Bois Bananes River takes about an hour and a half. Cross cane fields to reach the forest over the Guyonneau forest trail. After 3.6 km of gentle climbing, veer left onto a marked trail. The path then becomes hilly, but not difficult to negotiate, and hikers arrive at the falls following an upward climb and a downward descent. Please note:  the way to the falls is not marked; don’t hesitate to ask for directions once there.
