Situated opposite the Pigeon Isles and the Cousteau Nature Reserve, and set in the middle of a small inlet facing directly west (perfect for sunsets) is Malendure Beach. Its very fine, dark gray sands are of volcanic origin. It’s also known for its exceptional marine life so in addition to swimming, you can try your hand at a whole host of well-organized activities, including diving, glass-bottom boat trips, snorkeling, kayaking, big-game fishing, and sea cruises. You can also explore the wealth of marine fauna around the Pigeon Isles, including turtles and schools of dolphins.
