On the way to Tambour-Monplaisir, past the Valombreuse preserve, Bain à Colo may be reached via the “route forestières” (“forest roads”) of Desbordes and La Lézarde, which pass through the heart of the national forest. Located in the middle of the Desbordes Forest, the site features a small natural pool for bathing on a branch of the Tambour River, and a picnic area maintained by the O.N.F. (National Forest Office). From here, trails lead through the forest to Tambour waterfall and Grand Bassin, a pool at the foot of the falls (allow 5 hours).
