Turn left just past the stadium. This trail crosses sugar cane fields, pasturelands, and melon plantations, past the old Castex Mill and pond of the same name, before plunging into the bayou forest, with mangrove trees, herbaceous plants, and epiphytes (coralberry bromeliads) lining an old stone road where a few vestiges of rusted machinery may be seen. It ends at the Beautiran site (allow three hours to hike round-trip).
