Adjacent to the botanical garden, Maison des Aînés is a remarkable creole house built by the government in the early 20th century. Constructed of masonry and wood on the banks of the Rivière aux Herbes, it houses a collection of historic creole furniture. Property of the Department of Guadeloupe, it hosts activities for elders year-round.
