Museum - Le Gosier

Completely renovated in 2018, equipped with sophisticated technological means, the Aquarium of Guadeloupe is an interactive structure to make visitors discover the wealth of the seabed of the Caribbean Sea. It houses more than 50 basins presenting the different ecosystems of Guadeloupe, coral reef, mangrove, sandy bottoms, abysses ... The Aquarium of Guadeloupe presents nearly 300 species, diodons, moray eels, tarpons that flourish in basins well to them, seahorses, colorful algae, surprising corals, anemones still moving and terrifying sharks, while respecting their natural context (fresh water, mangrove, lagoon or open sea). 24 films broadcast continuously to learn more about corals, cetaceans, sea turtles etc. In addition to its pedagogical vocation, the establishment also has games spaces with evocative names: "The turtle hospital", "Diving in the sea", Draw me a fish "... An experienced team looks after wounded or sick animals and prepares them to return to their home environment. The Aquarium of Guadeloupe receives more than 100,000 visitors every year.
