It has the name of a former president of the Regional Council of Guadeloupe, who held this position from 1986 to 1992. The building is ka-shaped ka (a ka is a traditional and typically Guadeloupe drum). It hosts a theater with a stage of 200 seats and 700 standing places. This event center has a media library and is equipped with a recording studio and a projection room. The esplanade is intended to host festive events and cultural events.
