This flagship of Guadeloupian industry has been bottling and selling Dolé spring water since 1969. The name Capès-Dolé is derived from two historical figures: Commander Capès, responsible for building the colonial road, who touted the virtues of this water, and Pierre Dolé, farmer for the order of the Carmelites, the former owners of this site.
