The Old Town Hall

Architecture - Bouillante

Modeled on the style of mansions one might have seen in Côte Sous-le-Vent during the 19th century, Bouillante’s former Town Hall is an elongated building with a gallery on the  second floor and a high, four-sided roof with a garret containing a pair of dormers. The  first floor sports French doors with full shutters. The building itself represents a significant moment in local history, when the town of Pigeon moved to its current location at the beginning of the 20th century. Nowadays, the building is used as a meeting place for the highly active community group known as “Cœur de Bouillante”.
