Museum - Grand-Bourg

This museum represents an innovative concept in the display of historical artifacts, combining contemporary art with heritage objects. The “4,000 Years of History“ exhibit consists of rooms staged to recreate each historical—and pre-historical—period in chronological layers: “Pre-Columbian Civilizations,” “Pirates and Buccaneers,” “Traditional Tools and Objects,“ “Creole Interior of the 20th Century,” the “Cabinet of Curiosities,“ and “The 1940s.” A 2002-meter facility that houses the world’s largest collection of Creole objects, displayed alongside contemporary Creole art. Tel.:  0590-97-21-56 / 0690-29-29-17. Rue Beaurenom Prolongée in Grand-Bourg.
