Located in the heart of town, in Terre-de-Haut (Guadeloupe), the “Anse du Fond Curé“ offers its calm expanse of water to fishing boats, and a lovely little beach to visitors, who enjoy its beautiful view of Cabrit Islet. A wharf facilitates the docking and unloading of traditional saintoise boats by professional fishermen, who sell their catches of sea bream, tuna, sea catfish, unicorn fish, surgeonfish, triggerfish, pompano, trunkfish, parrotfish, and crayfish right off the boat at the nearby fish market, completed in 2011. Fishermen may be seen repairing their nets, building fish traps, and preparing for their next sea outings.
