Paved Path Ravine

Landscape - Le Gosier

Located at Grande Ravine, this area was known for its deep ravine, which reached depths of over 800 meters in places, and was the scene of numerous drownings. It is now developed, with benches and shade structures, providing a pleasant place for outings that is popular for school trips due to the broad biodiversity within its narrow confines. The pond provides habitat for a distinct type of flora and fauna, including turtles, mollusks, cane toads, tilapia, and moorhens—not to mention dragonflies, whose larvae spend up to five years of their existence in an aquatic milieu, feeding primarily on mosquito larvae.
