Garden - Basse-Terre

Created in the late 19th century in the Circonvallation quarter, the botanical garden was originally a zoological garden for plants, then a botanical conservatory for indigenous species. It currently contains over 130 species of trees and plants of various origin. In addition, it serves as a powerful teaching tool to the academic world. Prized public green space, it is a place of both discovery and relaxation.
