Porte d’Enfer is a small natural cove formed by the action of the waves between the steep cliffs of Pointe Morne, frequented by fishermen, and Pointe du Souffleur. Access to the beach is by a set of stairs. Visitors may enjoy the spectacle of rough seas crashing into the small sandy cove. It is possible to swim here, but care must be exercised due to the currents. The most intrepid visitors may don snorkeling gear to gain a glimpse of the underwater depths. Overhanging the cove, a lovely narrow trail is provided through dryland forest vegetation, where bloodwood trees and acacias rise from a bright green foliage mass of crotons and rosemary. Spectacular view.
