L’Herminier House

Architecture - Pointe-à-Pitre

The house was built around 1880 in memory of Doctor L'Herminier, a botanist and zoologist born in Basse-Terre. The listed Historic Building has a brick façade, with miniature columns and balustrades in cast-iron. Up until 1960, the building housed a museum dedicated to local flora and fauna.
