Located in the heights of Capesterre Belle Eau, this splendid pool in the heart of the tropical forest, in Guadeloupe,  is easy to reach. In addition to the magnificent pool, the site features a waterfall on a branch of the Grosse Corde River. Take D4 to Saint-Sauveur. The trailhead is about 500 meters from the entrance to the Second Carbet Waterfall (parking lot). Easy hiking, although the path is poorly marked (pedestrians only). The roughly 15-minute walk is well rewarded by the pool of turquoise water on the Grosse Corde River, tranquil, refreshing, beautiful, in the middle of the tropical forest.
Bassin Paradis is over three meters deep and is very popular with divers. Please note: the area around the pool is very slippery. A lovely small hot-water cascade may be found a few hundred meters below on the Grosse Corde River. Allow 25 minutes round-trip.
