Rum Museum

Museum - Sainte-Rose

Located 500 meters from the Bellevue traffic circle, this distillery, founded in 1916 by the Reimonenq family, continues to produce the famous “Rhum Agricole” from pure sugar cane juice. The site exposes visitors to three centuries of sugar cane history. Visitors discover the secrets of the rum-making cycle and admire numerous objects, documents, engravings, pond herons, informative signs, and tools, all testifying to a rich past that gives visitors a glimpse into the soul of the real Guadeloupe. This place also features a fascinating gallery of the some of the world’s most beautiful insects, and an exciting exhibition of 40 superb model ships showcasing the sailing vessels of that bygone era. After the tour, visitors enjoy tastings of different varieties of rum and many derivatives, such as punches and Shrob. Tours, tastings, and sales available Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. - Tel.:  0590 28 70 04.
