Architecture - Basse-Terre

The erection of Saint-François as a cathedral in 1850 brought about the reorganization of Capuchin facilities, including the construction of an episcopal residence. Constructed of masonry and wood, it has three main buildings arranged in a U shape around an ornamental garden that still contains the fountains designed by the Capuchins.
