The Old Municipal Jail

Architecture - Bouillante

The former jail, constructed in a typically military style, is made of volcanic rock and corrugated metal, with arched doorways and windows. It is a fine example of the type of administrative buildings that you might have seen in these rural towns during the 18th century.
