Anse Dumont is Le Gosier’s main fishing port, in Guadeloupe. Amenities have been provided to improve anchoring conditions and facilitate the onshore work of fishermen:  two seawalls, one for fishermen, the other to protect the harbor against fowl weather; a boat ramp; a 29-meter pontoon; lighting facilities; an access road; and cabanas. The site’s development, most of which took place offshore, required the adoption of major precautions to preserve the environment, protect the shoreline, conserve the mangroves, and safeguard tourist activities, allowing the entire site to retain its natural character.
