La Ramée Plantation

Architecture - Sainte-Rose

This former 18th-century sugar plantation features a master’s house built in the late 19th century in the typical Antilles style. It was purchased in 1988 by the Conseil Général of Guadeloupe and has been used since 2002 as an Artists’ Residence. The site is home to an art center, specializing in experimental forms of art, that offers workshops to the public. It hosts regular exhibitions and events, including film showings, day-long storytelling events, the Night of Sainte Cécile, and more.
