The path to the falls begins across from the Sofaïa hot springs. It is well marked, with signs the entire way, and regularly maintained by the Office Nationale des Forêts (ONF, the national forest bureau). It is the perfect way to discover the tropical forest. Follow the path, then descend several dozen meters to cross the Moustique River. Caution: rocks may be slippery in rainy weather. The hike to the falls is approximately three kilometers long. Visitors can choose between an invigorating shower and a tranquil swim in a forest setting. On the way back, cross a ravine and follow a botanical trail (allow an hour and a half, round trip).
