Crawfish Cascade

Waterfall - Petit-Bourg

Not far from the Maison de la Forêt, Cascade aux Ecrevisses, in the commune of Petit-Bourg, is one of the most visited sites in Guadeloupe, welcoming over 200,000 visitors a year. From the roadside parking lot, walk ten minutes through tropical forest on a path along the Corossol River. The waterfall is not particularly high, but the volume of water it produces, along with its enchanting setting, make it naturally inviting. The pool under the cascade offers clear water for a refreshing swim, but no crawfish, as they have all left for less populated areas. A second pool can be found upstream. On the other side of the national highway, canopy structures are provided for picnicking or relaxing.
