Bébian school

Architecture - Pointe-à-Pitre

The school building, originally the home of General Ruillier’s parents, now houses a pre-school named after a former school that predates the era of state education. Decorated with a pretty fresco, the school is a typical example of local, or “Pointoise,” architecture from the 19th century. The first floor is made of stonework surmounted by a wooden upper floor, with balconies running all around the exterior. The upper story sports a garret with dormers on several sides. What is now the playground was once the entrance to the stables.
