Rooster Cove

All round view - Saint-Louis

The Plateau des Coqs (“Rooster Plateau”) that overlooks this sandy cove, tucked between the cliffs, was occupied by Amerindians for a thousand years. It was also the site of the island’s last remaining Carib village. Swimming and diving are limited here now, due to the growth of coral and continued upthrust of the island. The cove features a magnificent view of Pointe de Caye Plate. The path leads down between boulders through dry vegetation before arriving at Anse du Coq Beach, a small and welcoming cove.
