Fitted with paving stones and planted with tamarind trees, Nolivos courtyard was, until the early 20th century, one of the most beautiful Strolls on the island. It is surrounded by handsome mercantile buildings, including Maison Chapp (Chapp House). Located adjacent to Cours Nolivos square, itself surrounded by the City Hall and the Municipal Auditorium, Cours Novilos remains one of the city’s main thoroughfares, with many commercial establishments making it a lively spot throughout the day.
