On National Highway N6, a bridge spans a wide stream flowing directly from Gaschet Lake (also known as Gaschet Pond, or Gaschet Dam). This is the largest body of fresh water in Guadeloupe. Located within the commune of Port-Louis, the ravine is home to a wide diversity of birds. A refreshing rest stop on the way to the Hindu Temple, 50 meters further on.
