Sainte-Trinité Church

Monument - Lamentin

This church, designed by architect Ali Tur, succeeds two others at the same site, the first of which was destroyed in the earthquake of 1843, the second in the hurricane of 1928. The current structure remains unique in Guadeloupe. Like the Town Hall, it faces the garden of the public square. Inspired by the Art Deco style, its façade exhibits strict symmetry. The two white bell towers, 14 m high, form a frame around Christ on the cross.
